Description

This is an image of a firefighters helmet on wood pallets during a fire....I know it's dark, but I wanted to keep some of the darkness to portray the true grit of this profession.

I would like to see some more from this photo...so i thhough to watch the full version but it didnt help. Well i like the composition!!

I agree with Sven. Would make a perfect shot if it wasn't so dark and blurred...

Yeah... I think it's a bit too dark too. I understand that you like it this way, but I actually wasn't able to see what it represents until I red your description.

I think you could have tried a shot with a fill-in flash... very subtle, to make sure we get just a little more details on the helmet... while keeping the background as dark as it is now.

Interesting piece of work anyway...

You all are right, I guess it is a little dark. I have had a couple of friends not know what it was until I told them.

Kemp, I will look into the fill in flash, I'm still very new with this photography thing, so I will definately take you advice. Thank you all for the comments. First day of snow here in Ohio today! Winters finally here....
